About Us

Established in 2007, Kiwi Corral Working Hostel for Backpackers has been home for 1000’s of backpackers on working holidays over the years.

Hi, we are Wes Archer and Claudia Chong. We have managed Kiwi Corral since 2012, and we live here on-site amongst our guests.

We both have hospitality backgrounds and we have both worked in the kiwifruit industry also. This experience makes us the ideal hosts for running this working hostel because we know what you need for an optimal working holiday in New Zealand.

Every day we get to have a cup of coffee with a couple of hundred happy guests as they get ready for work or an adventure.

What could be a better start to the day than that?

Another favorite aspect of our work here is that everyone here makes great friends from all over the world.

When your working holiday in New Zealand is done, and you are on to your next adventure, your address book will be full of new friends from all over the world for you to catch-up with, stay with, or adventure with.
